Growing Kinder Minds Through Arts Education

An empty theatre seen from the edge of the stage, rows of red seats receding into darkness under a single work light.

your support matters

Help us bring The Kind MINDto more classrooms.

Every program The Kind MIND brings to a school, after-school space, or summer camp is made possible by people who believe in the work — educators, parents, donors, partners. Your gift directly funds the curriculum, teaching artists, and student support that make our programming possible.

How donations work

The fiscal partnership in plain terms.

The Kind MIND operates as Kind Minds, LLC — a structurally for-profit company doing mission-driven work. To make donations to our programming tax-deductible, we work with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor: the Edward Charles Foundation hosts a fund for the Kind Mind Theatre Project. Donations are processed through Every.org, a 501(c)(3) public charity, which issues your tax receipt and grants the funds to that fund on your behalf. This is a standard structure many emerging educational and arts organizations use while they grow into independent 501(c)(3) status.

Our fiscal partner

Edward Charles Foundation

The Edward Charles Foundation is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) public charity that has provided fiscal sponsorship and charitable-fund management since 2007, supporting projects across arts and culture, education, children's services, and mental health. As The Kind MIND's fiscal sponsor, they receive and manage your tax-deductible donation and direct it to our programming.

Your tax receipt will come from Every.org, not directly from The Kind MIND. If you have questions about the partnership, the structure, or how your gift is being used, please reach out directly.

Where this began

Comfort Crates

Curated boxes for children moving through the hardest parts of childhood.

Started and run byCeleb Status Kids

Stacie created Comfort Crates in 2021, out of the realization that children need more to comfort them through life’s obstacles. Each curated crate is filled with positive and healing items — smiley-face stress balls, fidget toys, rainbow squishies, plush mini teddy bears, sensory art supplies, play dough and kinetic sand, a mini daily writing journal, and a “BRAVE” book. The intent is to assist hospitals and facilities that care for children, and to be of service to children healing from the loss of a family member, divorce, an unsafe domestic situation, or trauma. Crates also go to school classrooms and counselors’ offices, as a “safe space” children can use to work through anxiety or struggles. Stacie has donated hundreds of crates to non-profit and charitable organizations, hospitals, and care facilities for medically and mentally fragile children in both South Florida and the Northeast.

Celeb Status Kids is Stacie’s small online shop for curated gifts, camp, school, kids’ and candy items. She began making and donating Comfort Crates through it years before founding The Kind MIND.

Comfort Crates is run by Celeb Status Kids, Stacie Weisbrot’s for-profit business, not by The Kind MIND. To sponsor a crate, message Stacie at @celebstatuskids on Instagram. Crate sponsorships are purchases from Celeb Status Kids — they are not tax-deductible charitable gifts to The Kind MIND, and they are separate from the donations described elsewhere on this page.

Questions about giving.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. All donations are processed through our fiscal partner [Partner Nonprofit Name], a recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. You'll receive a tax receipt at the email address you provide during your donation. Consult your tax advisor for guidance on your specific situation.

Why does my donation go through a partner organization?

The Kind MIND is structurally a for-profit LLC doing mission-driven educational work. Fiscal partnership with a 501(c)(3) makes donations tax-deductible while our programming work continues. It's a common and well-established structure for emerging educational organizations.

Can I designate my gift to a specific program?

For gifts of $1,000 or more, yes — please contact us directly to discuss program restrictions or specific initiatives. For smaller gifts, funds support our general programming budget, which is the most flexible and impactful way to give.

Do you accept gifts of stock or other assets?

Yes, through our fiscal partner. For appreciated securities, donor-advised fund grants, or other complex gifts, please contact us directly. We'll connect you with the right team at [Partner Nonprofit Name] to handle the transfer.

How will my information be used?

Your contact information is shared between The Kind MIND and our fiscal partner for the purpose of acknowledging your gift and administering the donation. We never sell donor data, and you can opt out of all communications at any time.

How does Every.org accept my donation?

Your donation is made to Every.org, a US 501(c)(3) public charity. Every.org immediately emails you a receipt, and on a weekly basis grants the funds to the Kind Mind Theatre Project. This ensures your eligibility for a tax deduction, lets you consolidate your gift records, and reduces the administrative burden on The Kind MIND.

Are there any fees?

Visa and Mastercard charge 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction, and Amex charges a 3.5% flat fee (with an additional 1% for non-US cards). Prefer to avoid fees? Give via bank transfer and Every.org will cover the small ACH fee. Every.org doesn't charge any platform fee of its own.

Will I receive a tax-deductible receipt?

Yes. As soon as your payment is confirmed, Every.org emails you a tax-deductible receipt. 100% of your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by US law. If you have an Every.org account, you can also get a single itemized receipt showing all your donations for the year.

Major gifts & institutional giving

Larger gifts, in conversation.

For gifts of $5,000 or more, foundation funding inquiries, corporate sponsorships, or planned giving discussions, we'd welcome a direct conversation. We can talk about programming priorities, partnership structures, and the impact your gift would have over multiple years.
